「キム・ジュエ氏が後継者なのか」…英国人ユーチューバー、平壌で質問する映像が話題に
”Is Kim Joo-ae the successor?” - British YouTuber asks in Pyongyang, video becomes Hot Topic
Harry Jaggard, a British YouTuber with around 2.33 million subscribers, said in Pyongyang that "Kim Ju-ae has been a close friend of Kim Jung Eun, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Korean Peninsula.
On the 9th (local time), Jaggard released a video of his visit to North Korea to participate in the Pyongyang International Marathon.
North Korea is apparently taking a more liberal stance this time around, allowing some foreign tourists to film videos for YouTube, as the country is hosting the games for the first time in six years.
Jaggard said he had never run a marathon before, but said he participated in the marathon in order to enter Pyongyang.
Jaggard said he participated in the event as a member of the British Amateur Marathon Association. He said that a North Korean tour guide had instructed him on four rules to follow while sightseeing.
They said, ▲Staying away from the guide, ▲Not taking photos without the guide's permission, ▲Not making any statements that disrespect Kim Jong Un, ▲Not spreading religious items, will help prevent the inflow of outside cultural artifacts.
This is thought to be a measure to protect the country's image in the international community. However, Jaggard did not seem to be intimidated by such rules. In a private conversation with the guide, Jaggard said,
I asked a question about Kim Jong Un's successor. Specifically, I asked, "Is there a possibility that Kim Jong Un's daughter Kim Ju-ae could become the successor?" Then, I answered another question without hesitation,
The guide looked confused the moment Kim Joo-ae's name was mentioned, and after listening to the rest of the question, he became evasive, saying, "I don't really know either."
The guide also emphasized his loyalty to Kim Jong Un. The guide said, "Tourists who come to North Korea do not understand what they are doing.
"We have a great leader. He is a source of strength and energy for us," he said. "Whenever he visits a place, the attention of the whole country is focused on that place, and he
I really envy the people I meet,” he said. As he strolled along the newly constructed Limheung Street in the Hwaseong district of Pyongyang, Jaggard said, “North Korea is surprisingly clean and well-organized.
"The film is well-maintained," but he added, "I can't help but wonder if they're only showing what they want to show." He also said, "There's loud music playing on the street, but the apartment is uninhabited.
"It felt like we were not in a position to be alone," he said. "Free contact with residents was restricted, and in some areas it felt as if actors had been brought in to help with a scene."
