Former Mayor Hong said, "This presidential election is a choice between the Hong Jun-pyo administration and the Lee Jae-myung administration.
"We have two candidates, Lee Jae-myung, a flamboyant ex-offender who is currently facing five trials for fraud charges in addition to four previous convictions, and Hong Ji-young, who is well-prepared with extensive experience and proven abilities.
"The future of the Lee Jae Myung administration is a country riddled with unscrupulousness and unethical behavior, a country drowning in debt with young people shouldering a heavy burden, a country where corruption and injustice are rampant," he said.
"The future of the Hong Jun-pyo administration is a developed nation of freedom and prosperity," he said. Former Mayor Hong also said, "I opposed the martial law and the impeachment.
"I opposed impeachment not because I advocated for martial law, but because I could not agree with the method of impeachment that we had put in place to oust the president," he explained.
