Telecommunications giant SK Telecom (SKT) has launched the "T In-flight Wi-Fi Auto Roaming" service together with SK Tellink, a fixed-line communications service provider.

Prior to this, SKT became the first Korean telecommunications company to offer "T In-flight Wi-Fi" in July 2024.
To use the service, simply complete the procedure at T's roaming service site "T Roaming" or at the SKT store "T Roaming Center" at the airport.
The newly launched service is available after checking with T Roaming or the T Roaming Center before boarding to see if the aircraft is available for use with the service.
The service can be used simply by completing the registration process. The service uses the international automatic authentication technology "Passpoint." According to the company, this is the first time in the world that this technology has been applied to aviation services.
SKT and SK Tellink have combined this technology with customer authentication technology and Panasonic's satellite communication services to expand the automatic authentication system to the aviation sector.
