China's industrial enterprises of national scale or above posted 7.7% increase in added value in March from a year earlier: Chinese media

According to the National Bureau of Statistics' announcement on the 16th, in March, the added value of industrial enterprises nationwide above a certain size (enterprises with annual main operating revenues of 20 million yen or more) increased by 1.2% year-on-year.
This was a 7.7% increase compared to the same month last year. Compared to the previous month, it showed an increase of 0.44%. By the three major sectors, mining increased 9.3% compared to the same month last year, manufacturing increased 7.9%, and electricity, thermal energy and gas increased 1.2%.
The water production and supply industry increased by 3.5%. By type of enterprise, the added value of state-owned holding enterprises increased by 5.3%, joint-stock enterprises increased by 8.3%, and foreign and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan-invested enterprises increased by 5.2%.
By industry, the added value of 39 out of 41 industries increased from the same month last year.
Looking at production by item, production of 405 out of 623 industrial products increased from the same month last year.
Of this, automobile production increased by 8.4%, with new energy vehicle production increasing by 40.6%.
On the other hand, in the first three months of this year, the added value of industrial enterprises of a certain size or larger decreased by 6.5% compared to the same period last year.
