The city is supporting the company to verify the technology in a real environment before commercializing the service. LG CNS will enter into a digital transformation (DX) agreement with New York City in November 2023.
The company will participate in this project after signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the aim of developing a smart city platform that uses IoT technology to monitor and control equipment in factories and buildings.
The company will utilize the City Hub Building, a new form of charging facility. It will also promote a business supplying Level 3 fast charging equipment and energy storage systems (ESS).
The two companies plan to continue strengthening cooperation in the city sector. The company also signed a contract with the city of Hogansville, Georgia, to build smart street lights and their management system.
Starting with this project, the company plans to expand to neighboring cities in Georgia.
