Fire breaks out at Seoul apartment, one dead... Man in his 60s under investigation for arson

At around 8:17 a.m. on the 21st, a fire broke out at a 21-story apartment building in Bongcheon-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, resulting in casualties.
Due to the situation, the fire department immediately issued a response level 1 order, and the fire was completely extinguished at around 9:54 a.m. Police believe that the fire was caused by arson by a man and are pursuing the suspect.
The Gwanak Fire Department arrived on the scene about four minutes after receiving a report of a fire on the fifth floor of an apartment building. Witnesses heard a "bang" sound like something exploding.
He testified that the fire had exceeded 100,000 meters. As the apartment building was so large, there were concerns that the damage from the fire would spread, so the fire department issued a first level response order at around 8:30. The fire was mostly contained by 9:00 a.m., and then completely contained by 9:54 a.m. So far, one resident has died in the fire, and two others have been seriously injured after falling to the ground.
Four people were reported to have suffered minor injuries due to the fire. Police believe the fire was caused by arson. A man in his 60s has been identified as the suspect, and 177 mobile patrol officers have been deployed to pursue him.
Police believe the suspect used a crop duster to start the fire.
