Cracks appear one after another in houses in Gwangju, South Korea... Subway construction underway nearby

Amid growing concern over a series of road collapses across South Korea recently, cracks were found in four houses in Jungheung-dong, Buk-gu, where construction work is underway on Gwangju Urban Railway Line 2.
According to the Gwangju Buk-gu district office and other sources on the 22nd, cracks appeared in the exterior walls and fences of four houses in the Jungheung-dong area of Buk-gu at around 10:22 pm yesterday.
After receiving the report, fire authorities evacuated six residents from three houses, excluding one vacant house.
Construction work on Gwangju Urban Railway Line 2 was reportedly taking place near the house where the cracks occurred.
Investigative authorities plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident.
