Metaplanet buys 330 new Bitcoins, taking its holdings to over $400 million

Investment firm Metaplanet has become the world's 10th largest corporate Bitcoin holder.
On the 21st, Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich
Gerovich revealed that he recently purchased 330 BTC, worth $28 million, at an average price of $85,605 apiece through X.
The acquisition brings Metaplanet's total Bitcoin holdings to 4,855, worth $414 million.
Metaplanet's bitcoin investment return has increased by more than 119% since the beginning of the year. According to Bitcoin analysis platform Bitgo,
is currently the company that holds the most Bitcoin in Asia and is ranked 10th globally.
The acquisition marks Metaplanet's first attempt to secure a total of 21,000 BTC by 2026.
This is part of the company's strategy to lead the expansion of Bitcoin adoption in Japan.
