A man was arrested by police in South Korea after attacking several citizens with a weapon at a supermarket in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, during rush hour, leaving one person dead.
After the crime, the man was smoking a cigarette and talking on the phone with someone.
On the 22nd, the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of murder.
The charges were changed because one of the assailants died. A is suspected of using a weapon to attack two citizens he did not know at a supermarket near Mia Station on Subway Line 4 at around 6:20 pm the previous day.
At the time, police were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report that a person in a hospital gown had been stabbed with a weapon and was lying on the ground.
The two victims, both women, were taken to hospital immediately after the incident.
The victim in his 30s is not in any danger of dying, but the other victim, a woman in her 60s, died. Ms. B, who was wearing a hospital gown at the time of the crime, was a patient hospitalized at a nearby orthopedic clinic.
It was discovered that A, who was drunk, tore open the wrapping paper of a knife he found in the supermarket and used it as a tool in the crime. Furthermore, immediately after the crime, A was smoking a cigarette and talking on the phone to someone.
During the arrest process, A did not show any signs of resistance. A had a criminal record, but it was found that he had no criminal record related to murder. The police are currently investigating the motive for the crime against A.
