俳優アン・ヒョソプ、「スパイダーマン」の制作陣に会う…グローバルアニメの主役に抜擢
Actor Ahn Hyo-seop meets with the production crew of ”Spider-Man”... Cast as the lead in a global animation
Korean actor Ahn Hyo-seop has joined Netflix's global animated film “K-Pop Demon Hunters” as a voice artist.

K-Pop Demon Hunters is an animated hybrid action musical set against the backdrop of a dual world where the members of the world's most popular K-Pop girl group hunt demons off-stage.

This work, which harmoniously blends spectacular stage performances with deep emotional portrayals and supernatural thrills, is a sensibility-driven content that unravels the precarious identity and emotional balance of today through the cultural code of K-pop, symbolizing that K-pop is no longer a genre but a central element in the design of global content structure.

Ahn Hyo-seop will lead the central axis of the story in this production, voicing the role of Jinu, the intense and seductive protagonist and leader of the boy group. In this role, Ahn Hyo-seop will show a new way of being as a K-ACTOR by using English for all of his lines and going beyond simple acting to a high-dimensional acting style in which he uses his voice to unravel the subtle changes in his emotions.

K Pop Demon Hunters is a Netflix movie produced by Sony Pictures Animation, which produced global hits such as ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse,’ and directed by Korean director Maggie Kang and Chris Applehans of Wish Dragon. The film is highly anticipated as a content that incorporates Korean cultural identity and global sensibilities at the same time.

Especially at this turning point, where Asian creators, Korean actors, and K-pop cultural assets stand at the center of global popular culture, this production is not a “globalization of K-content,” but rather a K-culturalization of global content.

With the casting news of Ahn Hyo-seop, K Pop Demon Hunters will be released simultaneously in more than 190 countries around the world on Netflix on June 20th, amidst the enthusiastic response from global fans. The film, which brings together a diverse global cast and the voices of K-pop artists with the sensitivity of K-content, is expected to be a powerful shot in the arm that shows how K-culture is now influencing the emotions of the world's content.

Meanwhile, Ahn Hyo-seop plays the role of the main character Kim Duk-ja in the film “From the Omniscient Reader's Perspective,” which recently finished filming and is scheduled for release in July.
