Fornelli, a small town in the Molise region of southern Italy, is where the anonymous man known as the creator of Bitcoin, "Satoshi Nakamoto," was found.
The Fornelli city government will erect a monument in honor of "Satoshi Nakamoto." On the 23rd, through a post on its official Facebook page, the unveiling ceremony for the Satoshi Nakamoto sculpture will be held on May 1st.
The monument is the work of local artist Mattia Pannoni and was completed with financial support from the local government.
The exact shape of the structure has not been revealed, but Fornelli Mayor Giovanni Tedeschi said:
"It is very important for the city to accept and reflect new ideas from the younger generation," said Tedeschi.
"It is extremely important and essential," he said. Fornelli's city government claims that the town, with a population of just 1,800, has the highest Bitcoin penetration rate in the world.
This is a similar approach to "Bitcoin Beach" in El Salvador and the Swiss city of Zug, which uses virtual currency as a local currency.
This is resolved by Roach.
