BTS' JIMIN's ”Lie” surpasses 260 million plays on Spotify

BTS' JIMIN's solo song "Lie" has set a new record on Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.
JIMIN's first solo song "Lie", recorded on BTS' second full album "Wings" released in 2016, is available on Spotify as of April 26th.
"Lie" has already surpassed 260 million streams on the "Wings" album, out of all the songs on the album except for the title track "Blood, Sweat, Tears" in January 2023.
It was the first song to reach 200 million streams, joining BTS' 200 million streaming club as their 53rd song.
The song "Lie" is even more meaningful as JIMIN participated in writing and composing the song himself.
The song samples "Spanish Dance No. 1" from composer Manuel de Falla's opera "La Viva la Vida," and features JIMIN's powerful yet profound voice over the classical melody.
The song is praised as a "K-Pop masterpiece" with its emotional vocals that harmonize with the lyrics. JIMIN's "Lie" was produced by American writer, director, and producer Amy Sherman-Park.
She appeared on the Ladino-produced TV show "Etoile," which is about ballet, and on KBS Classic FM's "Live Classic," she was praised as "a masterpiece of K-Pop by fans at home and abroad."
