US stablecoin bill expected to pass before May holidays

U.S. senators are expected to take up a bill to regulate stablecoins on May 26, before the Memorial Day holiday.
According to Politico on the 29th (local time), US Senate Majority Leader John Thune
(John Thune) was recently seen making remarks during a closed-door meeting with Republican senators to the effect that he plans to move the stablecoin bill forward by May.
The bill being processed by the Senate is the stablecoin regulation bill "GENIUS" introduced in February of this year.
The bill is aimed at those seeking to issue fiat-pegged stablecoins.
It stipulates what requirements bank subsidiaries and non-banking companies must meet.
