Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway cross-border passenger numbers exceed 10 million this year, fastest ever - Chinese report

According to China Railway Guangzhou Administration Group, the number of cross-border passengers using the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway exceeded 10 million as of April 28 this year.
This was 16 days earlier than last year. Between January 1 and April 28, the number of passengers on a single day was the highest, reaching 136,000.
Among cross-border passengers, the ratio of passengers from Hong Kong to those from mainland China is about 4:6.
People traveling to and from Shenzhen account for 36.3% of the total, and people traveling between Hong Kong and Guangzhou account for 34.1%. In addition, there are also people traveling between Hong Kong and Dongguan, Huizhou, Shanwei, etc.
The proportion of passengers travelling between cities near the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail line has been gradually increasing, and the number of individual weekend travelers on the line increased by 16.7% year-on-year.
