They continued, "We are currently discussing the revised performance date and venue," and added, "Once it's been decided, we will make an announcement." Prior to this, C9 Entertainment announced that all of the members of the K-POP group are Korean nationals.
It was previously announced that idols will hold their first exclusive concert in about nine years since the ban on Korean content. C9 Entertainment said, "We are currently in discussions to hold exclusive concerts in other parts of China," and "We will hold an exclusive concert in other parts of China.
"PEX is the first all-Korean idol group to cross over into the mainland and has emerged as the new leader in the Korean wave of K-pop in China."
However, those in the music industry are of the opinion that it is too early to discuss lifting the ban on Korean music given that the concerts have been suddenly postponed.
Previously, Korean rock band SAY SUE ME announced they would be holding a concert in Beijing, China in July last year, but the concert was suddenly cancelled just three weeks before.
A source in the music industry said, "Even if permission for a performance is granted in China, it is often suddenly canceled. It is time to be cautious about the lifting of the ban on Korea and the proceeding with performances in China."
