According to the State Administration of Market Regulation, in the first quarter (January-March), advertising revenues of the top 881 advertising companies and establishments nationwide increased 11.3% year-on-year to 343.53 billion yen (approximately 6.9 trillion yen).
During the same period, the Internet advertising revenue of top advertising companies and businesses increased 14.6% year-on-year to 1.8 billion yen.
The average advertising revenue per top advertising company was 390 million former (approximately 7.9 billion yen), accounting for 81.7% of the total advertising revenue.
The average advertising revenue per person was 3.511 million formers (approximately 70 million yen), up 445,000 formers (approximately 900 million yen) from the same period last year.
Half of the top advertising companies and agencies saw positive growth in advertising revenue, with advertising revenue from platform companies showing relatively high growth.
By region, there are a total of six top advertising companies and establishments in six provinces (cities), including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Jiangsu.
There were 69 companies, accounting for 75.9% of the total. The total advertising revenue of the six cities in the first quarter was 287.41 billion former (about 5.8 trillion yen), accounting for 83.7% of the total.
