China's industrial producer gate prices fell 2.7% year-on-year in April: Chinese report

According to data recently released by the National Bureau of Statistics, the national industrial producers' shipping prices in April fell 2.7% year-on-year and 0.4% month-on-month.
This was a 2.7% decrease from the previous month and a 0.6% decrease from the previous month. Looking at the average prices from January to April, both shipping prices and purchase prices were down 2.4% from the same period last year.
Among shipping prices, the price of production materials fell 3.1% year-on-year, leading to a drop of about 2.28 points in industrial producer shipping prices.
Among them, extractive industrial prices fell by 9.4%, raw material industrial prices fell by 3.6%, and processing industrial prices fell by 2.3%.

It was a drop of about 0.40 points. Among them, food prices decreased by 1.4%, clothing prices decreased by 0.1%, daily necessities prices increased by 0.6%, and durable consumer goods prices decreased by 3.7%.
Among purchasing prices, fuel (power) prices fell 7.7%, ferrous metal material prices fell 6.7%, chemical raw materials prices fell 4.1%, agricultural by-products prices fell 4.1%, and other prices fell 4.2%.
Prices of general merchandise decreased by 2.9%, prices of textile raw materials decreased by 2.3%, prices of building materials and non-metallic materials decreased by 1.4%, and prices of non-ferrous metal materials and electrical wires increased by 8.5%.
