This is a "no break" off-the-beaten-path romance fantasy that unfolds when a supporting character in a romance novel, who is inhabited by the soul of a shy female college student, spends a night with the novel's male protagonist.
In the drama, Taecyeon plays the male protagonist Yi Bon in a romance novel set in a fictional Joseon era. Yi Bon is a perfect man with both good looks and martial arts skills.
She has a cool-headed personality and is not easily swayed by her emotions. However, after the wedding night with the supporting actor Cha Song-chaek (Seohyun), who is possessed by the female college student K, her suppressed emotions begin to burst out and she becomes extremely frank about her love.
The released photos capture the subtle changes in the emotions of the perfect male protagonist in the novel, Lee Bon.
The image of Lee Bon standing there conveys the intimidating presence of the male protagonist who dominates the entire story. On the other hand, the moment of his heart fluttering as he looks at Cha Song Chaek after their wedding night is also captured.
Taecyeon, who plays a slightly different character as the male protagonist in the novel, said, "I was hooked on web novels when I first read the script.
"I'm sure everyone has imagined entering a web novel at least once and becoming the protagonist of their choice," he said, recalling their first encounter, which felt like fate.
Taecyeon, who had many discussions with the director about her character before filming began, said, "I tried to express the seriousness of the character in every scene, and I tried to use actions rather than words.
"I tried to express the emotion of Lee Bong through his gaze," he said, raising expectations. "I Stole the Lead Role's First Experience," where Taecyeon's dramatic transformation will be shown, will air on June 11th at 9 p.m.
The broadcast will begin on KBS 2TV in Korea at 50 minutes.
