Candidate Kim Moon-soo strongly criticizes Lee Jae-myung, saying ”a criminal has 'impeached' the Supreme Court chief justice” (South Korea)
On the 15th, Kim Moon-soo, candidate of the ruling party People Power, said to Lee Jae-myung, candidate of the largest opposition party Democratic Party of Korea, "I will not be found guilty of violating the Public Offices Election Act."
"They are the ones who are doing the extremely bizarre thing of impeaching the Supreme Court Chief Justice, who overturned the acquittal of the second trial and sent the case back to the Seoul High Court, and promoting the appointment of a special prosecutor," he said.
"I've never heard of such a bizarre story as 'pushing for a special prosecutor for the Chief Justice and having a criminal impeach the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.'" Candidate Kim held a hearing in front of the Supreme Court on the same day.
He participated in the “Protect the Judiciary and Condemn the Democratic Party of Korea Rally” with ruling party lawmakers. Candidate Kim said, “The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is not a target for criminals to threaten, but someone who should be protected by the people.”
"I came here to show my support for the Democratic Party of Korea," he said, explaining, "This presidential election is a sacred patriotic act to prevent dictatorship." Candidate Kim also called candidate Lee a "dictator" and said, "I am like Nero, the First Emperor, and the First Emperor of Korea."
"I have never seen any dictator -- Taliban, Mao, Kim Jong Eun -- exercise such brutal dictatorship and eradicate those who oppose him," he said.
