According to the roster of this year's winners (songs) recently announced by the “2025 BMI Pop Awards,” JIMIN's 'Like Crazy' and ‘Who’ and JUNG KOOK's '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)' and 'Standing Next to You' were named 'Most Performed Songs of the Year' (the most played song of the year). The 'BMI Pop Awards' is an award ceremony organized by BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.), an American music rights management organization established in 1939, to honor songs that have achieved outstanding results in the field of pop music, as well as creative teams and music publishers.
The “Most Performed Songs of the Year” category of the awards ceremony selects the top 50 songs that have been played and broadcast most frequently on radio, television, performances, and digital platforms in the United States during the year. This year, 51 songs were selected, of which JIMIN and JUNG KOOK both ranked two songs, once again proving their solid presence and influence in the United States.
Meanwhile, “Like Crazy,” the title track from JIMIN's first solo album “FACE,” went straight to No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 main song chart when it was released in April 2023. It was the first record for a solo song by a K-pop artist to rank at the top of this chart. JIMIN then ranked on the Billboard “Hot 100” for 33 weeks with “Who,” the title track of his second solo album “MUSE,” setting a record for the longest period of charting by a K-pop solo artist.
JUNG KOOK won this category for the third consecutive year, following his collaborations with Charlie Puth in 2023 for “Left and Right (Feat. Jung Kook of BTS)” and 2024 for “Seven (feat. Latto)”. His solo single “3D (feat. Jack Harlow)” and the title track “Standing Next to You” from his first solo album “GOLDEN” both landed comfortably in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and were much loved by global fans.
