A director of a former management office who was accused of committing indecent acts against members of the group "OMEGA X" has been referred to prosecutors.
On the 7th, Hyehwa Police Station in Seoul filed charges against "OMEG
AX's former management office, Spire Entertainment's director Kang, has been referred to the prosecution.
Seven of the 11 "X" members sued Kang on charges of indecent assault in August 2023.
The report states that in September 2022, Kang made unwanted physical contact with the members, such as linking arms and hugging them, while they were waiting at an airport in South America for an overseas tour.
However, Kang denied the allegations, claiming that "in fact, I was sexually harassed by the members," and filed a lawsuit against fellow member Phee Chan for indecent assault in March of last year.
The case was investigated by Seongdong Police Station and referred to the prosecution in August of that year. OMEGA X and Spire Entertainment merged in May 2023 after a legal dispute.
After much deliberation, the exclusive contract was terminated. OMEGA X then signed an exclusive contract with IPQ Entertainment in July 2023.
