”PLAVE” nominated for the Main Prize at MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN... the only virtual idol to do so

The virtual idol group "PLAVE" has been nominated for the Main Prize "MAIN CATEGORY" award category of the "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025".
The MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN (hereinafter referred to as "MAJ") is Japan's largest international music awards ceremony, planned with the concept of "connecting the world and lighting up the future of music."
The five major organizations (Recording Industry Association of Japan, Japan Music Enterprises Association, Japan Federation of Music Producers, Japan Music Publishers Association, and Japan Concert Promoters Association) jointly established the CEIPA (Concert and Artistic Promotion Association).
The MAJ is organized by the Japan Agency for Creative and Entertainment Industries (JAEA). There are 62 award categories, of which the main prize is the "MAIN Prize".
There are six categories: SONG OF THE YEAR, ARTIST OF THE
YEAR (Artist of the Year Award), NEW ARTIST OF THE YEAR (Newcomer of the Year Award), TOP
The awards are divided into GLOBAL HIT FROM JAPAN (Globally Popular Japanese Song Award) and BEST SONG ASIA (Best Song Asia Award).
"PLAVE" was included in the "BEST SONG" award, which is awarded based on chart results in East and Southeast Asian countries.

The idol group "PLAVE" alone has proven their popularity and influence in Japan.

At the awards ceremony, "Ditto" by NewJeans won the BEST K-POP SONG in JAPAN category.
More than 5,000 experts from the music industry participated as voting committee members in this year's MAJ Awards ceremony, and general listeners also participated in voting through Spotify.
"PLAVE" will be nominated for the BEST SONG award at the Grand Ceremony event held on the 22nd at 7:30 PM.
The awards will be presented in six main prize categories, including the ASIA category. The event will be broadcast live on NHK.
It will be streamed worldwide via YouTube. PLAVE will release their Japanese debut single "Kakurenbo" on June 16th and begin full-scale activities in Japan.
After that, they are scheduled to embark on an Asian tour in August.
