*Contains spoilers and synopsis. The true identity of Han JIMIN from the Korean TV series "You're Beautiful in Heaven" has been revealed.
JTBC's Saturday and Sunday TV Series "You're Beautiful in Heaven" (directed by Kim Seok-yoon / written by Lee Nam-gyu and Kim Suzyn) aired on the 24th.
In episode 11, the true identity of Somi (Han Jimin) was revealed along with the past circumstances that Hae-sook (Kim Hye-Ja) had buried deep in her memory, drawing heated reactions.
When she was young, Hye-sook had lost her son, and the sadness, regret, and guilt had caused her to erase all her memories. But eventually, she locked herself in self-blame.
The viewership rating for episode 11 reached a new high of 7.0 percent nationwide, and also rose to 7.1 percent in the metropolitan area, ranking first among non-terrestrial broadcasters.
(Nielsen Korea, paid household basis) On the same day, Nakjun (Son Sukku) learned Somi's true identity through the center director (Jeon Hojin).
Hae-sook is smiling, having forgotten all of her memories, and So-mi is saddened by her memories of Uno. Nak-jun, who is watching over them, has mixed feelings.
Nakjun, who knows the truth, tells Somi, "I can't hate you," and that he'll gladly go to hell with her. This will return everything to its former place and allow Hae-sook to live.
Because that was the way. During the lottery festival broadcast, Hae-sook became a celebrity in heaven. Her desire to win led even the pastor (Ryu Deok-Hwan) into lying, and she felt guilty about the possibility of going to hell again.
He was filled with anxiety that he might not be able to live a happy life in his new life. In the midst of this, the pastor decided to reincarnate. He hesitated because there was no guarantee that he would be happy in his new life, but he thought, "I want to live an ordinary life like everyone else, and have children.
"I want to become a mother and live my life as a parent," she said, expressing her changed feelings. "I have no regrets about meeting the mother I have been waiting for." Hye-sook embraced the pastor and said,
Somi was so distressed that her memories were coming back to her mind, and she prayed to be allowed to go to hell as she had been told. Then, Sonya (Choi Hee Jin) appeared before Somi.
When Somi asked where she was going, Sonya replied, "You don't have to try so hard. You'll disappear soon. You can't stay in heaven or hell." She added, "You'll think you've lost your memory.
"That's not your memory," he said, leaving Somi even more confused. Was Sonya's words really what she said?
The answer was confirmed through the center's director. Previously, Somi's presence was said to be "a vivid memory and a bubbling emotion."
"It's emotion itself. It's the painful and sad emotion that Hye-sook cut off from herself in order to live," he explained, explaining that Nak-jun is unable to leave Hye-sook because of him, as the memories and emotions that should have disappeared already are.
In response, the center director said, "This must disappear in a way that is purified by Hye-sook's understanding and love," emphasizing that Hye-sook is the only one who can solve this problem.
At that very moment, Hye-sook was searching for the pastor who had not shown up at the reincarnation center. Nak-jun was also searching for So-mi who had vanished like a mirage right before his eyes after telling the whole truth.
Then, Hye-sook was summoned to another next-former dimension. In contrast to the Heaven House, there was a grey, bleak, dry place where Hye-sook was crying and crying like a child with her soul gone.
"It's my fault," Hye-sook mutters, while So-mi repeatedly says, "It's your fault," and the story of that day long ago is depicted.
From the day she lost her 5-year-old son Uno in the street market, Hae-sook has been living but dying at the same time.
It was as expected. A month had passed since her disappearance, but the police investigation had not progressed. At that time, the detective in charge was Kang Jong-gu (Moon Jung-hwan). Nak-jun had a strong desire to save his wife.
He even gave them money, but Jong-gu was a corrupt policeman who was not only not investigating the missing person but was also colluding with an orphanage and buying and selling missing children.
When Nakjun barely survived and woke up in the hospital, Hae-sook had lost all her memories of her son, Uno.
In the grey space, Somi strangles Hae-sook, saying, "You forgot about Uno just so you could live.
"No matter how hard it is, what parent can forget their child?" he said. Just then, Uno (Ryu Deok Hwan), who has grown up, approaches Hae Sook and So Mi. So Mi
As she sobbed in guilt for not being able to protect her son, Uno said, "Let me go. I can't let go unless you let me go.
And I hope your mother feels better too," he said, forgiving and comforting her.
With this, Somi disappeared, and Uno left behind a short greeting and set off on his path to reincarnation.
In the end, Somi's true identity was Hye-sook's "thoughts" and "emotions." The memories of being rejected and turned away by Hye-sook in her subconscious, the emotions she was forced to dig out in order to survive, became a personification.
Above all, the gray space that spread out beyond the mirror at the end of the broadcast captured viewers' attention, signifying another hell in the drama.
In the "Gray Hell," one of the most painful hells, only those who can forgive themselves can escape from self-blame.
Meanwhile, the final episode of "You're Beautiful in Heaven" (EP12) will air today (25th) at 10:30 pm.
