China and foreign-invested companies establish 18,832 companies in January-April, up 12.1% from a year earlier - Chinese media

According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Commerce, the number of foreign-invested companies established nationwide in the first four months of this year increased by 12.1% year-on-year to 18,832.
By industry, the amount of foreign capital introduced into China's manufacturing industry was 84.06 billion former (approximately 1.7 trillion yen), while the amount of foreign capital introduced into the service industry was 1.27 trillion former (approximately 1.7 trillion yen).
The total investment in the high-tech industry was 96.71 billion former (approximately 1.9 trillion yen).
(EC) The service industry increased by 137%, the aerospace equipment and facility manufacturing industry increased by 86.2%, the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry increased by 57.8%, and the medical equipment, facility and instrument manufacturing industry increased by 4.9%.
Looking at the destinations of investment, the real investment in China from the ASEAN region increased by 42.9% year on year, followed by Japan, which increased by 74.2%, Switzerland, which increased by 68.4%, the UK, which increased by 54.6%, South Korea, which increased by 22.3%, and Germany, which increased by 22.7%.
Its sales increased by 12.3%.
