On the 31st of May, JinJin finished the last performance of the show musical 'Dream High' at the Woori Financial Art Hall in Olympic Park in Seoul with a great success.
'Dream High' is based on the popular drama of the same name that aired on KBS2 in 2011, and tells the story of the main characters who dreamed of becoming K-pop stars and returned to Kirin High School of the Arts after graduating from high school. Since its premiere in Japan in 2023, the show has been gaining attention overseas through its export to Japan, and this year's revival performances were staged in both Japan and South Korea.
Jinjin played the role of Jason in the premiere of 'Dream High', and in this revival, he played the main character Song Sam-dong, leading the play with a more weighty role. He delicately portrayed the story and inner conflicts of Song Sam-dong, who debuted as the singer The K, and showed that he is an 'all-rounder' with his steady vocals and spectacular performance. She also participated in performances not only in Korea but also in Japan, where she drew favorable reviews from audiences in Japan and abroad.
After the final performance, Jinjin said through his agency Fantageo, "I am very grateful to have received so much love from the wonderful actors and production team that I met and worked so hard to prepare for the show. It was also my first musical, so I think ‘Dream High’ is a work that has helped me grow as a person."
He continued, “This is my last performance at the Woori Financial Art Hall, but there are still extended performances left, so I would appreciate it if you could enjoy it with me until the end.”
Meanwhile, Jinjin will join the extended performance of 'Dream High' from June 17th to July 20th to continue his enthusiastic progress as a musical actor.
