[Official] SEVENTEEN's 5th full album tops Oricon's ”Weekly Album Ranking”... the most number one for a foreign artist
SEVENTEEN reconfirmed their overwhelming popularity in Japan with their 5th full-length album.

According to Oricon on the 3rd, SEVENTEEN's” 5th full album “HAPPY BURSTDAY” sold approximately 457,000 copies and ranked first in the latest 'Weekly Album Ranking' (dated June 9th / counted from May 26th to June 1st). In particular, they achieved the highest weekly album sales among foreign male and female artists who released albums this year.

This is also the 14th time that SEVENTEEN has topped the chart, breaking the record for the most No.1 albums by an overseas artist, and their 10th consecutive No.1 album, based on their 9th mini-album “Attacca” released in 2021.

Happy Burstday" has been receiving a strong response in Japan immediately after its release. It has topped Line Music's real-time and daily 'Top 100 Albums', as well as the local iTunes 'Top Albums' chart and Apple Music's 'Top Albums' chart. It topped the Oricon 'Daily Album Ranking' for six consecutive days (May 27th to June 1st).

The title track 'THUNDER' held the top spot on Bugs' daily chart for three consecutive days (May 30th-June 1st) and has remained at the top of Melon's 'Top 100' since its No.1 ranking. The song is “explosive, captivating, and incomparable” (Billboard, USA), “a perfect track for a big summer festival” (CLASH, UK), and “highlights the chemistry and teamwork of the members” (NME, UK), among other positive reviews.
