NCT's Doyoung and NELL's Kim Jongwan show synergy in ”Sand Box”

NCT' Doyoung encourages us on a journey toward our dreams with ‘Sand Box’, a song from his sophomore album.

NELL's Kim Jung Wan worked on 'Sand Box' is impressive with the harmony of the guitar sound gradually expanding the sound on a fantastic mogul synth that feels like stepping somewhere under a cool night sky, sometimes makes our hearts pound, sometimes makes our painful journey through life a little more beautiful and bright. The song expresses the desire to make our hearts beat a little more beautifully and brightly.

At 8 p.m. on the 7th, 'Soar Diary - page. 3' was released on YouTube through the ‘NCT’ channel, featuring an interview with Kim Jung-wan's honest thoughts and feelings toward Doyoung while working on 'Sand Box', as well as scenes of the two artists focusing on and recording the song. The film also includes scenes of the two artists concentrating and recording together.

Kim Jong-wan said of 'Sand Box', "It's a song about dreams (which fits the theme of the album), but the lyrics can be interpreted in various ways depending on the listener's situation. I hope that the relationship between Doyoung and her fans is included in the song, and I wrote it with the hope that those who are going through difficult times will find strength in it."

He also said of Doyoung, "I fell in love with him at first sight after our first meeting and conversation. I felt that he was a person who loved music and thought right. I was so impressed with him that I became a fan at once,“ he said. ”When I saw how he never got tired (when singing), how his energy kept flowing, and how he became more focused the more she sang, I understood why he is a vocalist in the limelight," he added with unreserved praise.
