RM and V (BTS) returned to their fans' side after completing their military service. RM appeared in front of the interviewers playing the saxophone as if he was enjoying the joy of his discharge, while V attracted attention with a big bouquet of flowers and a bright smile the whole time.
After his discharge at a certain place in Gangwon-do on the 10th, RM stood in front of the interviewers and began to talk about how he went to the army late and had a lot of hardships and difficulties, and said, "Many people protected and fought for our country in front and behind, which made us vigorously active."
RM expressed his determination to his fans who waited for him during his military service, “I want to thank ARMY (fan name) for waiting for me,” and "I will try to run cool as ‘BTS’ RM when I go out into the world."
V said, "I want to thank ARMY for waiting for me, and I want to run toward ARMY as soon as possible."
He also promised to “be a good person and a nice person when I go out in the world” and "I will come back with a nice stage if you wait a little longer."
Both RM and V said that what they would like to do most after their discharge from the military is to "perform". They promised to make an album and return to the stage soon.
RM added wittily, "I'm not going back to the ‘unit’ anymore, I'm going back to the ‘stage’ now."
Finally, RM and V asked their fellow officers, peers, and replacements to "train safely, avoid injury, and get out of the military safely."
RM and V moved to HYBE's office building to meet and greet with their agency's officials and then plan to have some private time.
RM and V were discharged from the military on this day after one year and six months of military service. Prior to this, RM and V enlisted in the Army on active duty in December 2023, serving in the Military Band and Military Police Corps, respectively.
Thus, following JIN and J-HOPE, four members of 'BTS', including RM and V, will complete their military service. If JIMIN and JUNG KOOK also complete their military service tomorrow, all six members will complete their military service, and if SUGA completes his replacement service on the 21st, the gap period due to the military service of 'BTS' will be over.
BTS is currently holding '2025 BTS Festa' to celebrate their 12th anniversary until the 14th. The offline event will be held on the 13th and 14th at Hall 9-10, KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2 in Goyang, Kyonggi-do. In this space, visitors can enjoy the 'VOICE ZONE', which includes voice messages from the members, and the 'TROPHY ZONE', which displays the main trophies that BTS and ARMY have received. In addition, the 'Signature Light Show' in conjunction with the ARMY BOMB will entertain fans with a variety of programs, including a five-minute show every hour starting at noon.
HYBE is also busy welcoming BTS. The official logo of BTS and ARMY and the phrase 'WE ARE BACK' were wrapped on the exterior wall of HYBE's building in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. This is part of the 'BTS Festa', a festival held every year with fans to commemorate the debut date (June 13th) of BTS, and will be maintained until the 29th.
