The spokesman said, "President Xi congratulated South Korea on its victory in the presidential election and said he hopes to work with the new South Korean government to further develop the China-South Korea strategic partnership."
President Lee expressed his gratitude and said, "I hope that South Korea and China will promote active exchanges in many areas, including the economy, security, culture and people-to-people exchanges, in the spirit of mutual benefit and equality."
The spokesman said, "The two leaders agreed that it is important to develop Korea-China relations in a way that will actually benefit the lives of the people of both countries. They also felt that there was a strong sense of solidarity in areas of practical cooperation, such as economic exchanges."
"The two leaders agreed to work together to achieve results that will be achieved by the two sides," he said.
