China Logistics Purchasing Federation releases May e-commerce logistics index and road logistics freight index - Chinese media

On the 10th, the China Logistics Purchasing Federation released the China E-commerce (EC) Logistics Index for May. According to the published data, the China E-commerce Logistics Index for May increased by 1.1 points from the previous month to 11.
The index maintained an upward trend, showing stable growth in both demand and supply. By item, the total business volume index and the rural business volume index both recorded their highest values this year.
In addition, the logistics time efficiency index exceeded 100 for the first time this year, reaching 101.2. As a result, the service efficiency of e-commerce logistics companies continued to improve, and the fulfillment rate index increased by 0.2 points.
On the same day, the China Logistics Purchasing Federation also released the May road logistics freight index. The China Road Logistics Freight Index for May was 105, up 0.06% from the previous month and up 2.02% from the same month last year.
By vehicle type, the freight index for trucks, which mainly transport large goods and regional transport, was 105.6, up 0.07% from the previous month and 2.34% from the same month last year.
Road transport demand improved slightly in May, with the freight rate index for trucks transporting bulk goods maintaining a recovery trend.
