”Request for refund” after leaving two pieces of pork cutlet and putting hair in = Korea
A woman put her own hair into the pork cutlet she was eating and then received a refund, and her surprising behavior was caught on surveillance camera footage.
Mr. A, who runs a pork cutlet restaurant in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, South Korea, died on June 11th.
On the 2nd, a woman was exposed on the JTBC program "Case Leader." According to A, the woman wearing a hat came to the restaurant alone and ordered a 12,000 won (approximately 1,200 yen) pork cutlet.
As the woman was continuing her meal, she suddenly became angry and asked the staff for a refund because she found a hair in the food she was eating.
In response, Mr. A apologized to the woman through his staff and agreed to a refund.
However, afterwards, a staff member said, "This customer has been acting strangely since he placed his order," so Mr. A checked the security camera in the store.
The woman's behavior surprised the man. In the video, the woman finished eating most of the pork cutlet, and when she had about two pieces left, she started looking around. Then, when she saw that there was no one around,
After making sure that the hair was still there, she started to fumble for something with her left hand under the table. Then she raised her left hand and placed the hair she was holding on top of the pork cutlet. Then she started to eat the food with her chopsticks.
After mixing the food, the man grabbed the whole plate and started protesting. After watching the video, Mr. A immediately reported the incident to the police, who are planning to refer the case to the prosecution.
However, Mr. A expressed concern that "the amount was not large, but they made a big deal out of it."
"I'm worried that the woman might later retaliate by writing bad reviews about the store," he said. Meanwhile, experts said, "If she intentionally mixed foreign objects into the product to avoid paying,
"If the perpetrator continues to extort more money using the same methods, he or she may be charged with blackmail or coercion."
The charges of fraud and extortion are punishable by imprisonment of up to 10 years or a fine of up to 20 million won (approximately US$2 million).
