[Official Interview] ”withus” holds live event in Osaka! What are the thoughts behind their new song ”INDIGO” and their Japan tour?

The Korean boy band "withus" will be performing at FCLIVE OSAKA in Osaka from Saturday, June 21st to Sunday, June 29th, 2025.

The group name, which combines "together with the fans," expresses the group's philosophy of being "together with the fans."

Please briefly introduce yourself and tell us what kind of person you are according to the other members.
Hello. I'm JANGHYEON, the leader.
I am known as "withus" and "the tall guy with a warm heart."
RAK: Hello. I'm RAK, the person behind withus. JUNYEOP: Hello. I'm JUNYEOP, the main dancer.
People often tell me that I'm an active person. I think it's because I never get tired!
Hello. I'm HWANROK from "withus". Members often tell me that I'm "cool". Q.
Their new song "INDIGO", released for the first time in a year and a half, has become a hot topic.
I heard that this is a new concept, but how is it different from your previous songs? Also, what kind of theme or message does this song contain?
JANGHYEON: Our previous songs mainly had the sound of traditional Korean music (Kugak), but this song has a melody that is more hip-hop oriented!
RAK: Just as "INDIGO" is a distinct and unique color, we at "withus" also have that kind of color. Q.
"INDIGO" is very impressive in both sound and visuals. Do you have any memorable episodes from the production?
There's a scene in our teaser and music video where we paint our faces with blue paint, and it's very memorable!
As we were preparing, I felt that it had been a while since we last made an album, so everyone seemed to be back to basics and looked quite unfamiliar.
It was interesting to see that. Q. "Withus" is characterized by a worldview that incorporates traditional Korean beauty, but did you feel that "Withus-ness" in this live performance?
JUNYEOP: This time, "INDIGO" doesn't have a strong Korean traditional beauty, but if you listen carefully, you can hear that it is a combination of our existing worldview and sound.
We are preparing for this concert so that we can show you the unique color of "Withus" more clearly. The four Goblin (Korean monsters) will be like you.
Q. You've performed in Japan a few times so far, but when did you feel like the audience was particularly united and excited?
JANGHYEON: I think the last and first performances are the most exciting. The first and last performances have deep meaning, and we and the fans enjoy them as if we are one.
