President Lee Jae Myung holds summit with Prime Minister Ishiba just two weeks after taking office - South Korean media

South Korean President Lee Jae Myung held a summit meeting with Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba in Kananaskis, Canada, where the G7 summit is being held, on the 17th local time. The two leaders discussed the relationship between Japan and South Korea.
The two leaders are believed to have focused on development strategies. The summit took place 14 days after President Lee took office.
However, there have been no cases in which a Japanese prime minister attended the inauguration ceremony of former presidents Roh Moo-hyun and Lee Myung-bak.
In some cases, summit meetings have even been held on those days.
