President Lee Jae Myung: ”G7 Summit will signal a new leap forward for Korean diplomacy”

On the 18th, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung commented on South Korea's participation in the G7 Summit, "This G7 Summit and various bilateral meetings are a signal of a new leap forward for South Korean diplomacy."
Immediately after arriving home that day, President Lee posted the above information in a blog titled “Attending the G7 Summit, the beginning of restoring national dignity and trust.”
"We pledge to overcome the current deterioration of our national standing, diplomatic alienation and declining credibility, and to once again raise our standing in the international community."
President Lee said, "Through this conference, we have established a framework for the country to lead the future in key areas.
"This will give us confidence that we can play a leading role in this regard," he said, emphasizing, "As a responsible middle-ranking country, we will also actively explore specific ways in which we can contribute to the international community."
He continued, "The Lee administration will definitely build a Republic of Korea that all its people can be proud of."
President Lee is on his way home from Canada on the 17th (local time) after completing his schedule for the G7 Summit.
During his stay in Canada, President Lee met with leaders of 11 countries and international organizations, and spoke twice at the G7 Summit about energy security and AI.
