Roads flooded, power outages, heavy rain and strong winds cause damage in Incheon, South Korea

Heavy rain fell in the South Korean city of Incheon, where a heavy rain and strong wind warning was issued, causing flooding of roads and homes and power outages, among other damage.
According to the Incheon City Government on the 20th, between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., the city and each district and county received reports of damage caused by heavy rain and strong winds.
A total of 103 reports were received. By type of damage, there were 37 reports of flooded roads, 24 reports of fallen trees, 12 reports of flooded homes, 7 reports of fallen facilities, 6 reports of landslides, 2 reports of flooded factories, and 15 other reports.
At around 5:30 a.m. on the same day, apartment buildings in Gomam-dong and Kyoung Seo-dong in Seo-gu and Sungui-dong in Michuhol-gu were flooded, and part of a factory in Oryu-dong in Seo-gu was also submerged.
In addition, soil erosion occurred in the Wangjeong-ro area of Wanggil-dong, Seo-gu, and trees were fallen in Galsan-dong, Bupyeong-gu, and Taegok-dong, Seo-gu. Fire department and local police
The local government took safety measures. At around 4 p.m., 1,145 apartments and homes in parts of Seo-gu lost power. The Korea Electric Power Corporation said the blackout was likely caused by trees falling due to strong winds.
At around 5:02 p.m. on the same day, a container loaded on a large freight truck was pushed onto the road at the 9.7km point of the Incheon Bridge toward Songdo.
The car fell onto the road, injuring two people in a following car and causing traffic congestion in the surrounding area. As of 6 p.m., the roads that were still closed were the "Rabbit Tunnel" in Gyeyang-gu and the Airport Expressway.

However, a strong wind warning issued at noon was still in effect as of the afternoon. 584 public servants in Incheon city and 10 districts were on emergency duty in preparation for damage caused by the rain.
A Seoul Meteorological Administration official said, "The rain in Incheon is expected to stop by tonight," and added, "The strong wind warning currently in effect for inland Incheon is expected to be lifted between tonight and dawn."
