”Supah” HONEY J & AIKI apologize for sexual harassment and abusive remarks
HONEY J, the leader of the crew “BUMSUP” from Mnet's WORLD OF STREET WOMAN FIGHTER (WSWF), has apologized for controversial remarks she made.

On the 22nd, HONEY J posted on her social media, “I deeply apologize to those who were hurt by my careless words in the YouTube video I uploaded last night, and to the many people who support me for causing disappointment and discomfort.”

The previous day, a reaction video to the first episode of 'WORLD OF STREET WOMAN FIGHTER' was posted on the personal YouTube channel of choreographer and dancer Hyojin Choi.

HONEY J made sexually harassing remarks such as, “Is that even dancing? It's just XX,” while watching a dancer from the opposing team perform, and when fellow choreographer and dancer AIKI responded with, “What a XX woman,” the backlash exploded.

Although it was a personal YouTube channel video, given that HONEY J and AIKI are influential star dancers, their remarks were reckless, and there were criticisms that the scene should have been handled with more caution. Especially since HONEY J's Mega Crew Mission Global public evaluation “BUMSUP” titled “Dreamscape - At the Boundary of Dreams” had garnered over 10 million views in just three days, making it extremely popular and well-received. Therefore, the controversy involving HONEY J and AIKI is regrettable.

HONEY J emphasized, “We gathered for a fun gathering to watch the first broadcast of ‘WORLD OF STREET WOMAN FIGHTER’ with the members, and we watched it while casually chatting. In the midst of that, I became immersed in the situation at the time and showed a strong reaction toward the opposing dancer. I deeply regret that my careless remark caused discomfort to those watching.”

HONEY J immediately recognized the situation and directly conveyed her apology to the dancers from the other crew, stating, “Through this incident, I have come to understand how much impact a single statement can have. I will no longer take words lightly and will strive not to repeat such mistakes.”

AIKI also apologized, saying, “The more serious you are about the stage, the more your emotions can take precedence, but I have once again realized that even those emotions must be controlled so as not to hurt others.”
