BTS' JIMIN makes history on the US Spotify charts

BTS's Jimin has re-entered the US Spotify charts, continuing to break unprecedented records.

According to Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, the title track 'Who' from Jimin's second album MUSE re-entered the US Spotify Daily Top Songs Chart at No.153 on June 21st.

　On the chart dated June 22nd, the song jumped 51 spots from the previous day to rank 102nd, setting the highest rise in the chart. With this, 'Who' has continued to chart for 325 days, extending the longest charting record for a Korean solo song on the chart. 'Who' has also achieved a top 10 ranking for 137 days, setting the longest top 10 charting record for a Korean song. Additionally, following its release on July 19th, 2024, 'Who' debuted at No.18 on the Spotify U.S. Daily Chart, becoming the first and only Korean solo song without a collaboration to reach the top spot.

Currently, 'Who' has accumulated over 367.81 million streams (after filtering) on the Spotify U.S. Chart, marking the highest streaming record for a Korean song and the second-highest streaming record for an Asian song.

　JIMIN is the first and only Korean artist to have two songs ('Like Crazy' & 'Who') that have surpassed 100 million streams on the Spotify U.S. chart, both achieved solely through his solo artist capabilities without collaboration with Western artists, making this achievement even more significant.

　Furthermore, JIMIN is the first and only Korean solo artist to have accumulated over 500 million streams on the chart. JIMIN's 'MUSE' also set the record as the first and only K-POP solo album to stay on the Spotify U.S. Weekly Top Albums Chart for 45 weeks. These achievements demonstrate JIMIN's overwhelming popularity in the U.S., earning him the nickname 'JIMINICA' (JIMIN + America).
