The drama 'The First Night with the Duke' starring So Hyun from Girls' Generation and Tae Kyung from 2PM, is receiving enthusiastic responses across Asia.

　On the 28th, according to the weekly chart released by Viu, Asia's largest pan-regional OTT platform, for the third week of June (June 16th–22th), the KBS2 Wednesday-Thursday drama 'The First Night with the Duke' ranked 1st in Thailand, 2nd in Indonesia and Malaysia, 4th in Hong Kong, 5th in Singapore, and 6th in the Philippines, securing a top-tier position in six countries.

　'The First Night with the Duke' tells the story of an ordinary college student who finds herself transported into a minor role in a romance novel, spending a night with the male protagonist whose obsession has reached its peak, unfolding a path-deviating fantasy romance. The combination of So Hyun (Girls' Generation) and Tae Kyung (2PM), who have a global K-POP fanbase, generated anticipation even before the broadcast.

　In Korea, it has consistently maintained a viewership rating in the 3% range, continuing to receive stable reactions. Based on the popular web novel of the same name, this drama adds immersion by having Cha Song-cheok (So Hyun), a minor character who is a “devoted reader” familiar with the worldview, step out of the observer role and take on a more active role to change her destiny.
