映画『ハルビン』、ヒョンビンらが砂漠、氷上、雪原の過酷な撮影に挑む大規模な3カ国ロケを敢行したメイキング映像解禁
Behind the scenes footage of the film ”Harbin” released, featuring Hyun Bin and others taking on the rigors of filming in the desert, on ice, and on snowy plains, a large-scale shoot across three countries
The suspenseful PENG SOO action blockbuster "Harbin," starring Hyun Bin, which has been ranked first in Korean moviegoing for four consecutive weeks (according to KOFIC as of April 22, 2025), will be released nationwide from Friday, July 4th.
(Distribution: KADOKAWA, KADOKAWA K Plus) Director Woo Min-ho and lead actor Hyun Bin came to Japan last weekend and held the Japan premiere with Lily Franky.
The event was a huge success, and the audience gave rave reviews, saying things like, "This is a film you should see in the cinema," "The visuals and content are spectacular and powerful," and "This is a film worth seeing now."
Behind-the-scenes footage and images from the location shoot in the country have been released. "I took on the difficult challenge," says director Woo Min-ho. In order to recreate the scenery of 1909,
Hyun Bin and his team were out of breath as they walked to the filming location in the middle of the desert. "I wonder if young people back then walked like this too?"
Hong Kyung-pyo, a cinematographer who pursues a more holistic view of the world, directed the film "Parasite" in order to fulfill director Woo Min-ho's request that he "not shoot in front of a green screen."
The film uses the high-performance ARRI ALEXA 65 camera, which was also used in "Semi-Underground Family" (2019). It captures the vast landscapes of the desert and lake in great detail. Director Woo Min-ho
"The location in Mongolia was minus 40 degrees. We waited for eight hours and shot for less than 10 minutes," he said, revealing the harsh conditions on the set. Hyun Bin, who was left behind on the ice, said, "While filming, I felt the helplessness and loneliness of human beings.
"I was surprised," he says, but when you see Hyun Bin taking each step in the 360-degree ice world, his words become more convincing. "All the images are real, and the snow is all real," says Hong Kyung.
The director was happy about the heavy snowfall during filming, saying, "It was a gift from heaven," but Hyun Bin, covered in snow, looked like he was in pain. There was also a muddy fight scene and a scene where he broke the ice and fell into the muddy water.
There is no doubt that the film's relentless pursuit of realistic images is what gives it its sense of urgency and grandeur. <Film Summary> Production: HIVE MEDIA CORP "Spring in Seoul"
