The money will be reinvested in South Sudan to provide humanitarian assistance for peace amid a civil war and to power higher education institutions in need of reconstruction.
The purchase of P-REC by YG and BLACKPINK, which is the first case of such a transaction in Korea, is not just a resale.
Beyond the certification of renewable energy purchases, the project will contribute to positive impacts such as improving energy access and creating jobs in the affected areas.
YG Entertainment is also working to reduce its environmental impact at the "DEADLINE" Goyang concerts on the 5th and 6th.
They plan to sell "BLACKPINK Water," a paper carton drink. To promote recycling of paper cartons, they will set up special collection boxes and encourage awareness of sorting and recycling.
