China's 14th Five-Year Plan: Economic growth expected to exceed 35 trillion yen - Chinese report

On the 9th, the State Council Information Office held the first press conference on the theme of "High-quality achievement of the 14th Five-Year Plan (hereinafter referred to as the 14th Five-Year Plan)." During the press conference, the head of the National Development and Reform Commission said,
"During the 14th and 5th Five-Year Plan, China's economic growth is expected to exceed 35 trillion yen (about 711 trillion yen)," he said.
The size of the economy is expected to be around 140 trillion former this year (about 2,840 trillion yen). The economic growth volume (during the 14th Five-Year Plan) is expected to exceed 35 trillion former, which is the largest in the three economic provinces of Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Hunan.
"This is equivalent to the combined total of the three largest countries in the world, China's contribution to global economic growth is maintained at around 30% annually," he said.
"Over the past four years (2021-2024), the economic growth rate has averaged 5.5 percent," he explained.
