This is the first time in about four years and eight months since November 2020 that the approval rating of the People's Power Party has fallen below 20%. Regarding this, Rep. Ahn said, "We are like a frog in boiling water.
"The government is locking itself into the old-fashioned politics and slowly dying," he said. "It is turning a deaf ear to the stern warnings from the people to innovate and change, and making no effort to change," he said.
"Innovation must be accompanied by responsibility and determination. The answer is clear. The pro-Yoon Seok-yeol government has come to a complete end.

Citing the department's reluctance to make personnel changes, he resigned as chairman of the Reform Committee and then declared his candidacy for party leader.
