On the same day, Park Eun-young confessed her pregnancy in front of Jung Daeun. She said, "Am I giving birth at an advanced age?" and "I'm 44 years old.
"I got pregnant with my second child at 10,000 yen, but I was past the age when people would have wanted to have children when they were older. I was almost at the age of menopause," she said.
Park Eun-young continued, "When I had my first son, Beom-jun, I suffered from morning sickness for two weeks.
"This time, maybe because I'm getting older, my stomach is not feeling well and I feel dizzy all the time. It feels like I have indigestion. From the end of May to June, I was very tired.
"It was hard. I'm still having trouble eating meat, but I'm feeling much better," she said. Park Eun-young, who had a NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing) test because she was giving birth at an advanced age, said, "I'm going to have a 10-day pregnancy test.
"The test will be done this week and the results will be out next Monday," he said, expressing his hope that "the law has changed and the gender will be shown in the NIPT results."
Nyeon expressed her hope, "I think so too. My morning sickness was very different from when I had Beomjun." She also had a reason for considering having a second child. Park Eun-young said, "My mother gave birth to four siblings, and my older sister was a bit of a shy.
My older brother gave birth to three children and my younger brother gave birth to two. I naturally dreamed of having three children, but because I got married so late, I was only able to have one child."
"I told Beomjun's dad that we couldn't end it like that and that we had to have a second child," she said. Her husband was strongly against it, but changed his mind when his son became friendly with a relative the same age.
Park Eun-young said, "After next year, I might really hit menopause. I thought this was my last chance to have a second child. My husband said, 'Well, let's give it a try.'
"As soon as I heard those words, I decided to start IVF," she recalled. In the first attempt, she was unable to collect many eggs and fertilization also failed.
After collecting eggs for three months and collecting nine embryos, she had her first transfer at the end of April, and is now 11 weeks pregnant. She said, "I haven't had any swelling at all (even after IVF).
"But if it goes on for a long time, it will be tough," he said, adding, "But there's no need to be too scared of the future."
Meanwhile, Park Eun-young entered the broadcasting industry in 2007 as a Naeun presenter for KBS's 33rd public recruitment program.
She then married Kim Hyun-woo, a startup CEO who is three years younger than her, in 2019, and gave birth to her first son in 2021 at the age of 40, which was a great blessing.
