The person believed to be the operator of this channel called the police station and imitated a child's voice saying, "My father hit me," creating a scene of an assault, and also called the British Embassy in Korea.
"I was kidnapped. There was a gun next to me." When the embassy suspected that it was a prank call, the caller made abusive remarks and mocked them, saying, "Record it. What are you going to do?"
Last October, this channel was also responsible for the incident where a prank call was made to Children's Grand Park in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, claiming that an explosive device had been placed there, causing citizens to evacuate.
SBS reported that the police have launched an undercover investigation into the channel.
