Singer and actress IU won the Best Actress Award.

The 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards were held on the afternoon of the 18th at Paradise City in Incheon. Announcer-turned-talent Jung Hyun-moo and actress Yuna, a member of Girls' Generation, served as MCs for the fourth consecutive year.

On this day, the nominees for the Best Actress in a Drama category included Park Eun-bin from 'Hyper Knife: The Dark Genius Surgeon', So Hyun-jin from 'Trunk', IU from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines!, Hyeri (Girl's Day) from 'The Good Competition', and Cha Joo-young from 'Won Gyeong'. Among them, IU emerged as the winner.

When her name was called, IU embraced Yom Hee-ran. Taking the stage, IU spoke with a trembling voice, saying, “I am IU, who took on the roles of Eun-sun and Kum-myung,” and expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am truly thankful.”

IU said, “When I first received the offer for ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines,’ during filming, while waiting for it to air, and even now, it has become the greatest source of pride in my life, and it will continue to be so in the future.” She expressed her affection, saying, “I am honored to have been part of the ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines’ team, and it was truly wonderful.”

She continued, “It's difficult to address everyone individually, but thanks to Im Sang-chun, the writer, Kim Won-suk, the director, and all the cast and staff members listed in the ending credits, I feel like I've had the time of my life. I'm deeply grateful for being entrusted with the role of Oh Eun-sun, who is cute, lively, and intelligent. I also thank all the fans.”

Additionally, IU added, “I offer my respect and gratitude to all the Eunsun's who lived their own lives more vividly than anyone else in a world that forced people to live aimlessly, and to all the Kum-myung's who patiently nurtured their desires in various corners of the world,” leaving a profound impression.
