China's actual foreign capital inflows fall 15.2% year-on-year in January-June: Chinese report
According to the Ministry of Commerce, the number of new foreign-invested enterprises established in China in the first six months of this year increased 11.7% year-on-year to 30,014. The amount of foreign capital introduced on an actual basis (hereinafter the same) decreased 15.2% year-on-year to 42,000.
By industry, the amount of foreign capital introduced into China's manufacturing industry was 109.06 billion former (approximately 2.3 trillion yen), while the amount of foreign capital introduced into the service industry was 30.5 billion former.
The amount of foreign capital introduced into the high-tech industry was 127.87 billion former (approximately 2.6 trillion yen). Of this, electronic commerce (EC) services accounted for 1.27 billion former.
The medical equipment, facilities and instrument manufacturing industry increased by 17.7%, while the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry increased by 53%, the aerospace equipment and facility manufacturing industry increased by 36.2%, and the medical equipment, facilities and instrument manufacturing industry increased by 17.7%.
Looking at the investment destinations, real investment in China from the ASEAN region increased by 8.8%, followed by Switzerland, which increased by 68.6%, Japan, which increased by 59.1%, the UK, which increased by 37.6%, and Germany, which increased by 6.
Japan saw a 31% increase, while South Korea saw a 2.7% increase.
