In episode 10 of the tvN drama Head Over Heels (viewership rating: 4.4%), the evil spirit Bongsu (played by Chu Yong-woo in a dual role) that possessed Bae Gyeon-woo (also played by Chu Yong-woo) went on a rampage.

The true nature of Bongsu possessing Gyeon-woo's body was revealed. It was all part of Yeom-hwa's scheme. She had Gyeon-woo injured, saying that seeing blood would be enough to bind him to the spirit. Though Bongsu had taken Gyeon-woo's body with Yeom-hwa's help, he did not want to become the evil spirit she envisioned. His true desire was to live as a human, which was why he had taken Gyeon-woo's body.

The leader Dong-cheon, who heard Bongsu' confession as if she were saying she wanted to be loved, advised Seong-ah (Cho I-hyun) not to hate her too much and to look into her heart. To protect Gyeon-woo, she must protect Bongsu. At the same time, Gyeon-woo wandered through Bongsu' memories. There, he discovered two student soldiers. Seong-ah, who had summoned Gyeon-woo at midnight, asked him to investigate why Bongsu had become a ghost.

Meanwhile, Yeom-hwa realized that Bongsu had no intention of coming as a god and decided to shake his resolve. Bongsu, who had been content to live as Gyeon-woo, was thrown into confusion by Yeom-hwa's words. He had learned that Seong-ah was summoning Gyeon-woo at midnight. Yeom-hwa provoked Bongsu by suggesting that he might be curious about Seong-ah's true feelings. Bongsu, taken in by Yeom-hwa's provocation, awoke in Gyeon-woo's place at midnight. Bongsu was hurt to hear that Seong-ah, who embraced him warmly unlike before, was seeking a way to defeat him.

After learning of Seong-ah's feelings, Bongsu began to act out. He not only quit archery, which had been Gyeon-woo's dream, but also demanded that she call him Gyeon-woo. Furthermore, Bongsu took Seong-ah to the memorial for the student soldiers and explained why he had become a ghost, burying the “silver ring” that had been his vessel. Ji-ho (Cha Ganyun), who had been watching the situation, decided not to silently watch Bongsu treat Seong-ah and Gyeon-woo recklessly. Ji-ho visited Yeom-hwa and asked if Gyeon-woo's body would be taken away like this. Yeom-hwa, thinking it was the last chance, succeeded in obtaining the ring, which was the demonic object that Bongsu had been inhabiting, by using Ji-ho.

Yeom-hwa broke the silver ring to summon the Grim Reaper, while Seong-ah and The leader Dong-cheon began a ritual to protect Bongsu from the Grim Reaper. The leader Dong-cheon hid Bongsu' location to prevent the Grim Reaper from coming, while Seong-ah diverted it in a different direction. However, Bongsu, who was struggling with unbearable pain, realized that it was not he but Yeom-hwa who must die, and recited the lion spell to summon the grim reaper. Yet the grim reaper visited not Yeom-hwa but The leader Dong-cheon. The leader Dong-cheon had become a human talisman to protect Yeom-hwa. The leader Dong-cheon, who had protected Yeom-hwa, departed from this world.
