Han Dong-hoon, former head of the People's Power Party, said on the 25th, "The Democratic Party of Korea expelled 45 lawmakers from the main opposition People's Power Party as fuel for the internal elections, and reorganized the political world so that there would be no checks or balances.
"It is wrong to incite others to do this," he said. On the same day, former Chairman Han posted on his social media account, "The Democratic Party of Korea will push for the expulsion of 45 lawmakers from the People Power Party."
Han said, "It was extremely wrong for 45 People's Power lawmakers to go to the residence of former President Yoon Seok-yeol to block the execution of an arrest warrant. They must deeply apologize to the people."
"Both then and now, President Yoon has taken responsibility for his own miserable mistakes, without shifting them to those whose lives he ruined by following his instructions or using them as shields.
"However, the Democratic Party of Korea expelled 45 lawmakers from the main opposition People's Power Party as fuel for its internal election campaign, and has been acting without any restraint.
"It is wrong to incite people to reshuffle the political world," he wrote. He also wrote, "The People's Power Party is the Liberal Democratic Party that stood at the forefront to prevent the martial law on the night of the martial law, with the party chairman and nearly 20 members, aides and party officials.
Prior to this, Rep. Park Chan-dae, who ran for the Democratic Party leadership election, held a press conference at the National Assembly that morning and said, "Yoon Seok-yeol's civil unrest has caused human suffering.
"We will propose a resolution calling for the expulsion of the 45 People Power lawmakers who acted as shields," he said.
