[Official] i-dle member MINNIE selected to star in Thai version of film ”50 First Dates”

Korean girl group i-dle member MINNIE has been cast as the lead in the Thai remake of the movie 50 First Dates.

On the 12th, according to her agency CUBE Entertainment, i-dle member MINNIE has been cast as the lead in the Thai remake of the movie 50 First Dates.

50 First Dates is a romantic comedy released in 2004 that tells the story of Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore), who suffers from short-term memory loss, and Henry Roth (Adam Sandler), a veterinarian who falls in love with her at first sight. The film has received widespread acclaim.

MINNIE will take on the role of the female lead in this remake and is set to showcase her delicate emotional acting skills. The film, a joint production between Sony Pictures International Productions and Thailand's leading film company GDH, will begin filming in October.

The male lead will be played by Thai model and actor Nadet Kugimiya. Nadit Kugimiya is a top Thai actor who appeared in the Thai version of the drama 'You Who Came from the Stars' in 2019 and last year's biggest hit movie in Thailand, 'Teiyod: Whisper of Death 2'. Additionally, renowned Thai director Meeth Talarat will handle production and direction, with the screenplay co-written by Tossapon Tipthinnakorn and Benjamapon Slabua.

Meanwhile, MINNIE made her acting debut in 2021 through the Netflix series 'I Can't Do It', where she delivered an impressive performance.
