The heatwave continues despite the approaching ”Shochu” (around August 23rd in the solar calendar)... Warning issued in the capital and Gangwon areas

Although it is said that the weather will cool down once the end of the "Summer" period has passed, the heatwave is expected to continue. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency on the 17th, the maximum perceived temperature across the country will be around 33 degrees Celsius (in the southern and southern regions) for the time being.
Jeju Island is expected to reach around 35 degrees Celsius, with severe heat and tropical nights continuing. As of 11 a.m. on the same day, extreme heat warnings were issued in many areas across the country, with temperatures expected to reach 30 degrees Celsius.
The range of temperatures at 11 a.m. in major locations is 32.4 degrees in Seoul, 30.6 degrees in Incheon, 34.1 degrees in Samcheok, and 32.6 degrees in Sejeong.

The temperature is 33.5 degrees. It is mostly cloudy in the central region, but sunny weather continues in the southern region and Cheju Island. Today and tomorrow, the temperature will be high mainly in the capital area and the central and northern inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon.
Rainfall of less than 0.1 mm is expected in Seoul, southern Gyeonggi Province, the inland and mountainous areas of southern Gangwon Province, and Chungcheongnam Province from noon to 6 pm on the 17th.
Rain is expected. The weather will be cloudy across the country on the 18th, but sunny skies are expected in the southern region and Cheju Island from the morning. The central region will also be cloudy on the 19th, with Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province, and inland Gangwon Province expected to see sunny skies.
Rainfall of 5 to 20 mm is forecast in mountainous areas. Temperatures will drop temporarily in areas affected by the rain, but after the rain stops, daytime temperatures will rise again with high humidity, making it even more muggy.
The Japan Meteorological Agency is urging people to "take good care of their health as the extreme heat and tropical nights will continue for a while."
